Post by Nate Sipes/The New Level on Nov 30, 2008 17:57:12 GMT -6
[The scene opens with a shot of a hallway as the camera’s operator makes his way through it and to a large, metal door. His hand is visible for a moment as he pushes it open and walks through. He pans through the room as heavy panting and loud smacks are heard throughout the room. The camera comes to rest on Nate Sipes hitting a heavy bag with strikes. The camera man makes his way towards Nate as The Purist continues his workout. Judging by the sweat he’s producing, it’s apparent that Nate’s been working out for a long time. The camera comes to rest and just films Nate for a moment before the camera man finally speaks.]
Camera man: Uh, Nate? Nate Sipes? I’m the camera man you asked for.
[Nate doesn’t seem phased by the comment and continues to hit the bag with heavy kicks and punches. The camera man waits a few moments before speaking again.]
Camera man: Uh, Nate, do you want to make a comment on your match?
[Nate finally stops and looks at the camera. He turns his head the other way and spits out his mouthpiece before turning back to the camera.]
NS: Yeah, I’ve got a comment. Just give me a second to compose myself.
[Nate reaches down to the floor and picks up his towel. He wipes off his sweat-covered face, shoulders and chest. Nate then tosses the towel back onto the floor before speaking into the camera.]
NS: For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Nate Sipes and I represent wrestling at its purest form. Of course, you all know my cousin: the former RCW Natural Champion Doug Gavelon. Growing up with Doug, I’ve seen him make a lot of mistakes. I’ve seen practical jokes get out of hand, girlfriends coming and going and friends disowning him but I’ve never seen someone hate him so much as to create a new identity, recruit some glorified mercenaries and attempt to end his career. However, at the last Hog Heaven event, that all changed. Not only did Doug lose his title to a masked Havoc but the new group of old friends, the Family of Extreme, piledrove him through a table at ringside. People have been very quiet on both Doug and Tiffany’s condition; so much so that not even I know how they’re doing. The point is that the Family of Extreme managed to take out two very important people in RCW within a short amount of time and aided their leader in gaining gold and perceived revenge.
[Nate wipes the continuing sweat from his face.]
NS: Now, in my first match in RCW, I can gain a Natural Title shot if I can defeat the entire Family of Extreme in a Gauntlet Match. Ever since I accepted the challenge, people have been saying that I’m walking into Hell. People say that I don’t stand a chance against the entire Family of Extreme. To those people, I say that it’s obvious that they don’t know me very well. I, like Doug Gavelon, was a great amateur wrestler. It would seem that wrestling talent runs in the family. The only difference is that my style is very ground and striking based. Nothing brings me more joy than taking my opponent to the ground with a flying cross armbar or hitting a high leg kick and sending their head into the fourth row.
[Nate gives a slight smirk before, seemingly, wiping it away with his right hand.]
NS: Hopefully, I’ll have the opportunity to do just that at Southern Dynamite. Like I said, people have this perception that I can’t win against four guys but I think everyone’s overrating the Family of Extreme. The leader is powerful but is army is sub par, in my opinion. Pink Mason can be a great vocal point for the group. He can, at least, make himself laugh. That’s a good thing for him because he’ll need to find something big to laugh about once I’m done crushing his spirit. Pink, you won’t be tearing me limb from limb because you don’t have that killer intent. You’re more likely to tell a joke than cause permanent dismemberment. YOU will be the one who gets beaten down at Southern Dynamite.
[Nate adjusts the elbow pad on his right arm before continuing.]
NS: Juvinal is truly an enigma. He has no social skills and yet he’s a multi-millionaire. That will serve him well when his medical bills come up after Southern Dynamite. He says he hears voices in his head and I hope they’re telling him to live everyday leading up to the Gauntlet Match like it was his last because it may be just that. Juvinal is truly that; an adolescent trapped in an adult’s body. His infantile mind can’t even handle the pain that I will put him through come Southern Dynamite. I’m not sure what led to his “condition,” whether it was a birth defect, an over usage of recreational substances or suffering one too many concussions but, hopefully, I’ll knock some sense into him when I face off against him in the Gauntlet Match. Juvinal, good luck and get some help.
[Nate places his hands on his sides as he continues.]
NS: There’s another individual on the Family of Extreme who speaks with complete nonsense. Then again, when you grow up “behind the curtain,” I guess your mind becomes twisted. Nick Zildjian is a relic of a different era; an era where we feared the idea of nuclear war with the Soviet Union. That fear was quelled when the Union fell but I guess some people just can’t get over the end of communism in Russia. Nick, I’m a capitalist in the sense that I have a job, earn a paycheck and try to make a living doing it. I’m not rich but I’m not poor either. I, like everyone else, make sacrifices to ensure I don’t lose everything. Besides, if making money and being the best isn’t your goal in wrestling then you have no business in this sport. Nick, you communists think that we can all be the same in society. That’s simply not possible as there will always be a pecking order in society. For example, at Southern Dynamite, I will prove to you and the entire Family that I’m better than you and will get my shot at Havoc and the Natural Title.
[Nate’s demeanor seems to turn even more serious.]
NS: And now we come to an original member of the team known as Devastation in Jarvis. Jarvis does know me and my history very well and I his. While he’s respected for being a tough brawler by the locker room, many people forget that he’s never won a title on the big stage. He and Havoc had a chance to win the Tag Team Championships in World Pro but they came up short. He was in the tournament to become Continental Champion and he failed in the First Round. Hell, outside of our old home of ETW, he’s lucky if he can win a match. And now, age is becoming a factor as he’s only got so many years left in his career. Jarvis, you were great when you only had the Joe Schmoes of ETW to beat on but when you take that step to the next level, you have to win or go home. The result of our Gauntlet Match at Southern Dynamite will send you packing.
[Nate reaches down to the ground and picks up his mouthpiece. He doesn’t put it back in his mouth but just holds it in his right hand.]
NS: You all try to crucify me by saying I didn’t join you when I had the chance. I guess you haven’t heard of the phrase “Blood is thicker than water” because I won’t turn my back on my cousin. The Family of Extreme will pay for what they’ve done to Doug and Tiffany. The victory that I achieve at Southern Dynamite will be the first battle in the war against indecency in RCW. It will end once I drive the Family out of RCW and return pure wrestling back to RCW. At Southern Dynamite, I will show everyone that my name is Nate Sipes and that I represent wrestling at its purest form.
[Nate puts the mouthpiece back in his mouth and goes back to working on the heavy bag as the scene ends.]
