This is getting rediculous. There has to be a sandbagging rule put in effect. You guys realize that like 75% of the roleplays were done in the last 30 minutes.
At this rate, why stop at one show a week. We could have like 15 shows with like 3 hour roleplay periods. Lol. We could call it tapings and be like TNA.
Seriously, I think that the first rp poster should recieve a heavy bonus now that the rp limit is one. It's a big advantage to allow the opponent to rp first, then just make sure you top their....and you have fuel for your roleplay to begin with.

Clint, I can understand your frustrations and trust me... AJ and I share in the frustrations that it does seem alot of rps arent posted until deadline day.
However, it would be completely unfair to give the first rp poster a "heavy bonus" because all of us have lives and things come up. It wouldn't be right to penalize the person who had to work overtime or some family emergancy came up and prevented them from getting their rp posted until closer to deadline.
Personally I highly doubt ANYONE here is a true "sandbagger" meaning, I do not think people in RCW sit and wait until an hour before deadline and then post. I know for myself, I just couldnt get the motivation or time to rp w/lenny. I could have posted something last night but I decided against it.
With having the one rp limit, and the 5 day rp period... this is just something we will have to deal with. We can't have an rp deadline and then demand ppl post before that deadline, then what's the point of the deadline?
I'm sorry for your frustrations man, but even when we had the two week rp period and two rp limit, and the EARLY rp bonus, very rarely was that ever taken advantage of. You should know as well as anyone considering you have ur own fed, sometimes people just wait (and time gets away from ppl.)
Personally, as long as ppl rp I dont care if its an hour into the deadline period or an hour before deadline... I just want ppl to be active, period.
I'm sure AJ has his own feelings towards this subject, so I'll let him reply with his thoughts.

Oh I think we all know AJ's feelings. Do the letters D and C mean anything to anyone? lol
But seriously, my lateness is always due to having two jobs. I work weekdays at one and weekends at the other. Lately though, the weekend one (a radio station) has been giving me some more hours during the week. Needless to say, when you're working at Sheetz who's screwing you out of hours (for the most part) and the awesome radio station you work for offers more hours, you're going to take them. From this week through late February, I'll be lucky to get consecutive days off. I was trying to get some rps started all week but something always kept popping up (work, taxes appointment, friends wanting to hang out). Needless to say, I was hoping for my rps to be a bit better than they were but I had to take the cards that were dealt.
Now, I'm going to shut up before AJ sends Grendel after me about that Lowercase reference. lol

I know that it's not intentionally done by most of the people here. But you guys do understand that waiting on your opponent to roleplay has it's advantages. Even if you allowed for more roleplays and counted the best, the problem wouldn't exactly fix. Because the opponent waiting would still have the advantage of waiting until the last day/hour to do theirs, they'd have even more fuel that way.
Not sure where the happy ground would be for everyone. I guess it's a problem that the handlers need to try to work on and not AJ or Adam.
And just so you guys know that I'm dedicated to RCW, I don't have any ties with any other fed right now, and I stopped writing shows about 6 or 7 months ago.
I don't want to sound like I'm angry or anything. It's really hard to tell someone's emotions through a keyboard, but I'm not angry. It's just kinda frustrating is all. I consider everyone here a friend, that's why regardless of the past history I wanted to join and stay here. You guys are giving me a big chance and I thank you. I've known most everyone here for years. I've known AJ for over a decade now. You guys are my fed family. And as long as I have a couple hours of free time every week, will continue to be.
Thanks for replying, at least I know you care and understand my frustrations.

Here's an idea. The advantage of posting first could be a 25% bonus. I know that may sound like alot, but it's not. The second roleplayer clearly has the advantage of knowing their opponent...trashtalking their opponents promo and such...
Say the roleplays are counted on a 10 point scale. Roleplayer 1 scores a 7. Roleplayer 2 scores a 9, utilizing roleplayer 1's roleplay. Roleplayer 1 would gain a 25% bonus still based on their roleplay rather than actual points given and set. So 7 would end up 8.75 and roleplayer 2 would still be the victor. The whole process is still based on your roleplaying. If you gave a two point bonus roleplayer 1 would have tied or won the match. With this system the roleplay still has to be up to par, and roleplayer two has to work a bit harder to gain the advantage.
Just coming up with ideas.

i want to apologize to everyone for appearing to sandbag. I never intentionally wait until the last minute, in fact i started my rp for this week tuesday morning and worked on it for a few hours, but didn't have time to finish it that day due to work. I just have limited time to rp or even keep up with reading results because of how my job works. I may have set hours, but my schedule ends up scattered and can change from hour to hour.
Wednesdays end up being the best day for me because if i get booked its only in the morning, but then the rest of my day is clear, other than church. i've been trying my best to not wait until last minute, but its hard when i have a life too.

I kind of agree with Clint on the early RP bonus. Look @ it this way- I maxed my RPs for the Hollywood/Gavelon/Ase match, and got the early RP bonus- but Travis' RPs were better, and he got the win even without the early RP bonus. So a slight reward is not out of the realm of possibility.
Still, the 1 RP limit REALLY makes thing even... I hate it. lol (it's funny cause I haven't actually RPed for a weekly show yet.)
