~The scene opens up in a darkened room. The only light is the sunlight shining through a window on a bench and a few lockers behind it. Sitting on the bench is the newcomer to RCW, the mysterious Der Hammer. His black cape hangs over his face from the nose up and runs down his back and shoulders as he keeps his eyes pointed straight at the floor. Der Hammer lets out a long exhale and begins to speak. However, since he speaks in German, his words are spoken over by an English narrator.~
DH/Narrator: In just 9 days, I get to showcase my skills to the fans of RCW. In just 9 days, I take my first step towards greatness. In just 9 days, I begin my quest for the Southern Heritage Championship.
Of course, with anything in life, you have to start at the bottom and the wrestling business is no different. Unlike many that I’ve known in this business who come into a company and think that they deserve a title shot just by showing up. I’ve seen it countless times and in every case, they learned what it means to be humble but at a very painful and bloody cost. I, on the other hand, view the climb to the top as a way to run through every member of the locker room. That way, when I finally obtain my goal, there is no doubt just who is the best in the company.
So, in my debut, I get the honor of facing Willy Franklin. I’ve followed his career from a distance for several years as a member of the tag team the Runnin’ Rebels with Chip Francis. Sadly, Willy just seems lost without his partner as his singles career seems to have gotten him nowhere fast. Even sadder for him, I don’t need a partner to make an impact. I have all the skills I need to be a success within myself. I don’t have to rely on anyone but I’m always there for anyone who will ask.
Willy, I’ve got nothing against you personally but so is the nature of the wrestling business: survival of the fittest. The better, stronger wrestler must end the hopes and dreams of the weak and desolate. And that’s just what I plan on doing in that ring on the 27th. By beating you Willy, I take one step forward towards what shall be mine one day and that is championship gold.
To all of my fans, past, present, and future, you will all bare witness to the best thing going today in RCW. You will all witness what will become commonplace soon enough: my arm raised in victory. Most importantly, you will all bare witness to…
~The English narrator cuts out as Der Hammer speaks one last line.~
