What a sucky week....

First, last Saturday, my 'Horns suffered their first loss of this season. Then they drop another this Saturday. I was worked like a government mule all week last week. Then things started looking up. My boss gives me a half day off on Friday, so on Saturday I go to the Harley Davidson store here in FW and got free concert tickets. Then, I'm watching the Cowboy game and my stomach turns as the damn Bills walk all over them for about 58.25 minutes

Then a miracle happens. Cowboys recover an onside and make a couple of quick passes to get into field goal range, and with no timeouts spike the ball, but wait! The officials decide in their infinite wisdom to review the catch from the previous play...Do these guys even get a copy of the rule book when they become officials?

So the ruling on the field is overturned, and the 'Boys have to complete another pass to get into field goal range, which they do. They line up and kick a 53 yard field goal only to have the Bills call time out. So Cowboys line up again. My heart sank.

Twice teams have done that this year and both times, it didn't turn out too well for the team kicking the field goal. I was fully prepared to say the Cowboys underestimated the Bills, and they lost by 2 points. I would have been a little ashamed, but I would have still wore my Cowboys apparel with pride.

As luck (or skill) would have it though, Nick Folk has ice cold blood coursing through his veins as he twice kicked the 53 yarder to win the game and completely drain me emotionally. When asked about the kick, he had the most perfect answer..."It was a record kick...106 yard field goal" (53 yards + 53 yards).

And now I close with these 4 words...

"HOW 'BOUT THEM COWBOYS!?!?!?"

HELL YEA! I missed the game itself, but getting the updates on my cell at work was making me sweat bullets. Everybody thought I was crazy when I jumped up and down going nuts. My sad note is I didn't get to watch the Eagles get spanked all over God's green earth this week.

I'm not going to be a hater and say a bunch of negative crap about the Cowboys, but, bottom line is that it was a great game that proves a game isn't over until it's over.

Bah.

It was quite a comeback for the 'Boys, and just shows I guess that they can still do enough to win even if Romo has a terrible game.

Good news for them, bad news for Dan as a Bills fan, and me as a Giants fan. Though I was pretty happy with how we did beating the Jets, who just seem to not be very good. We can cut it to one game behind the 'Boys next week when they face New England (why isn't that game on Sunday or Monday night?), and we've got Atlanta.

We're 3-2, and I think that's about where we're at talent-wise. Our big issue is the pass coverage, especially the linebackers in coverage, where Kiwanuka is badly out of position when he has to drop back. And Sam Madison won't look as good when he's not playing against Pennington, whose throws couldn't break a pane of glass.

Could you imagine how bad the Bills would of lost had Tony Romo played decent?
