Gimmick: Experienced veteran looking to prove he still can.
Wrestler's History: "The Icon" was born in 1978 in Los Cruces, New Mexico. He lived the life of an all-american child. Growing up, he played in a band and took part in sports, where he was an all-conference performer in three sports his Sr. year of high school. After graduating from New Haven High School, Lee took off in an effort to find his niche in life. It didn't take him long to find it. At the age of 22, Lee met a small independent wrestling promoter, who was looking for a few fit bodies to push into the ring. Lee at first laughed at the thought of professional wrestling being his life's calling. However, he entered the ring two months later in his first match, fighting for that independent federation, the UEWF. Lee and a friend whom he trained with joined forces there and became the first and only tag team champions the federation ever had, a reign that lasted nearly four months before the financial burdens of the federation sent it belly-up.
"The Icon" didn't stay down long, as he moved onto a bigger stage and signed a deal with the EHWF. Lee took home a Hardcore title there after powerbombing Hero through a hanging cell. However, a series of disagreements between Lee and the front office personal forced him out. He took nearly 4 months off from the sport, in which time he married his high school sweetheart, Pam.
After his 4 month hiatius from in-ring action, Lee felt the need to come back to the sport he'd grown to love. This time, with the HWF. Lee fought for the HWF for quite some time, winning his first United States title there. However, after another lengthy reing as champion, financial problems caused HWF to be bought out by none other than the EHWF, the federation Lee was forced to leave after heated disagreements with front office personal.
Lee and his young wife discussed the possibilites of his future. He wondered openly if it was time for a more secure job, especailly with Pam being pregnant. In the end, wrestling won out. Lee inked his name to a NAWF contract, where he had perhaps his greatest run. Lee dominated the competition with realitive ease and marched to his first, and so far only, World Championship. That was, until disaster struck again. NAWF's owner shut the company down after a slew of talent walked out after a television taping. Lee again was without a job.
Lee took time to think about his future. Pam wanted him home to help raise their son. Chris, however, couldn't stay away from the ring for long. The only federation to offer Lee a contract was none other than EHWF. The fed Lee was forced out of some time early. It wasn't an ideal situation, and it was one Pam wished he wouldn't pursue. He did, and in the end it cost him his marriage. Pam and his young son packed up and walked out shortly before his second EHWF went to hell in a handbasket. Lee, who entered the match as EHWF U.S. Champion, was placed in an I quit match, with the stipulation that if he lost, he quit, but if he won, a World Championship title shot awaited "The Icon". The night of the match, the outcome was predetermined. The CEO lead on attack on "The Icon" during his match, beat him near unconciousness, and lied about him giving up. Lee was without a job, again, but also without the woman that he loved.
Lee took some time off, again, before stumbling upon the WpW. He scheduled a meeting with Tyger Lilly to discuss the possibilites of "The Icon" joining her ranks, and a contract offer soon followed. Lee's impact was felt immediately. He took out Cyren, Centurion, and Lost Soul with ease. That last win giving him the WpW Big Gold title. A belt in which he defended via a draw at World Pro Wrestling's lattest PPV event, Heatwave: Minnesota Meltdown, against Rey Sanchez. During his time in WpW, he's already joined forces with some of the hottest young wrestlers in the game, David Capital, his sister Kelly, and Lee's friend Curtis Lowe came together to form G-Force, a stable about to release there rage on WpW. Also, in preperations for his first Big Gold title defense, Lee's wife Pam came back.
Chris Lee chose to leave the buisness for nearly a year following WpW's temporary closure, before which he lost his Big Gold title in a thriller to Rey Sanchez. After a short stint away from the ring, Lee chose to give wrestling another go-round. In his first match after returning to the ring, Lee won the WpW All-Time TV Title in Houston during the WrestiVal III pre-show. Lee would hold the title for almost two months, before ultimately dropping the strap to Rey Sanchez. "The Icon" would leave WpW soon after, following the end of his short-term contract.
In his time away from the ring, Lee grew his wrestling academy and recently began work on Delta Professional Wrestling, a regional organization set to tour west-central Mississippi. While Lee has since delegated day-to-day operations of Delta Pro Wrestling to close friends, he feels the need to stay close to the area. While doing so, he might as well put in some work with Razorback Championship Wrestling and get back to the indy roots that helped him get his start in professional wrestling.
