{The screen flickers to life as a camera comes on, and we see Vash sit back after having just turned the camera on. He is sitting on the edge of his bed wearing black pants and a black tank top, the lighting so dim he can barely be seen. He smiles widely in the dark.}

Vash: “I trust you all have been wondering what had become of me lately. Well let me just assure you, I haven't been laying around twiddling my thumbs. I've locked myself away and eliminated all distractions. I've been training hard physically, and mentally. I haven't allowed any visitors at all, I've even had Rae take Zoltan home with her for a while.”

{His smile fades.}

Vash: “Why all the effort? My match with Mikey at Hog Heaven isn't just any match. This is a fans bring the weapons match, a match filled with more brutality than any other I've ever been involved in. A weak minded man would lose heart at such a prospect, especially against the Mute. You've been there, done that, haven't you Mikey? I know you'll come into this match and give your all. I promise you I'll do the same.”

{Vash sits forward toward the camera.}

Vash: “I'm ready, Mikey, to bring it all in that ring and leave it all behind. I'm ready to steal the night with our violence, to make it a match to remember. I've seen the darkness that can live in the mind of a man, and I've acted upon it. I am not afraid to go to that place of my own mind and live out the evil in that ring, to take those weapons in my hands and use them with destructive force. Let's make this a night to remember, eh Mute?”

{Vash laughs wickedly as he leans forward and shuts off the camera, leaving static.}
