(Our hero has been back in the business for two weeks. And both weeks have ended the same. Stitches and staples. Last week no one saw the attack. This week it's brutality could not be ignored. The Franchise sits at the Washington Regional Medical Center waiting patiently for a doctor to sign his release. Though he appears relaxed his mind is racing. Where to start the hunt? What rocks to flip over? Who is this attacker? These questions though are about to receive company inside the mind of the Franchise as Pyros from The New Downward Spiral comes into his hospital room. )
Pyros: Ares I have big news.
Ares: Somebody saw the b@$tards face?
Pyros: No, but you did get booked for a match next week.
Ares: A match? I just got 10 more stitches added to my forehead. The doctor is going to have to be one hell of a quack to let me compete next week.
Pyros: You better find one than.
Ares: Who did they book me with?
Pyros: The Phil.
Ares: Really.....
Pyros: It's non-title but hey its still a shot at the champ.
Ares: The Phil huh?
Pyros: You sound worried.
Ares: Not worried just got get my head back in the game. This attacker has me a little off guard.
Pyros: Who do you think it is Ares?
Ares: I don't know kid. I'm not much like your dad or uncle. Mikey has been a straight arrow since the day he stepped into a ring. Fuego has always been a man of the fans. Me, I've done a lot of bad. I've stabbed people in back, betrayed my friends, and sold my soul a thousand times over. And to be honest kid I'd do it again. So that makes it even easier to create a long list of people that might want me to stay retired. But the list can be narrowed down. Not alot of people knew I was coming to the show last week. Mikey knew but I doubt he told any body.
Pyros: Very funny...
Ares: I thought so. To be honest other than Mikey nobody knew before I got to the arena. Taco Supreme was the first one I ran into that night and there is certainly no love loss there. But to be honest I don't think that a masked attacker is The Taco's style.
Pyros: Maybe you should stop calling him Taco Supreme just in case he is behind the attacker.
Ares: You mean call him AJ? Just doesn't feel right.
Pyros: What about The Phil?
Ares: No. One, The Phil does his work in person. Two, up until you walked in here and told me of our match we'd probably never even had our names mentioned in the same sentence. He'd have no reason to attack me.
Pyros: Well how bout.....
Ares: No more guessing. I gotta get my head in the game kid. Right now The Phil is what matters. If you look past the your next opponent there can be some very dangerous consequences. And when that opponent is the champ those consequences get even more high stakes. The Phil is not one to be taken lightly. And this is a hell of a chance to prove that I can still be in the title hunt.
Pyros: What about the attacker?
Ares: I'll worry about him when I have to.
Pyros: ......
(A doctor walks into the room and gives Ares a clean bill of health as the scene fades.)

Melvin Gates: Hello fans and thank you for call the RCW Hotline! We have a special treat in store today as I have been joined for a sit down interview with Razorback Championship Wrestlings own..... ARES! Ares thank you for join us today here on the RCW Hotline!
Ares: Thanks for having me Melvin.
MG: We have a lot of questions for you here at the Hotline so lets get right down to it.
Ares: Shoot.
MG: You have been gone for nearly 6 months from RCW. Where have you been?
Ares: Getting right down to brass tacks huh Melvin? Well, I spent a lot of time rehabbing my injuries. Those who know my career and have seen my matches know that I've put my entire body on the line for the all important win. Taco Supreme's boy Grendel destroyed my rib cage in the 7 or 8 matches we had. I have been hit in the head so many times I can't believe I can remember how to get home at night. So I decided to get away. I went back to my school and started teaching the business again. My ribs finally healed up, I had some minor knee surgery and I felt 100% better almost instantly. I kind of found myself wondering why I hadn't taken the time off before.
MG: So if you felt so much better why the wait for a return?
Ares: Well, I was happy and I was healthy. I had the school to run. I didn't really see a reason to come back. The RCW has only been increase in popularity since it came back. I've been to the top of the wrestling world more than once. I wasn't sure where I fit into the wrestling world anymore. Many people, including The Phil, have called me old. They are right. I started out in this business nearly twelve years ago now Melvin, I'm not going to go into my accomplishments because I know that my opponents and the fans don't really want to hear it. All I'm going to say is that I haven't lasted this long just out of luck.
MG: You mentioned The Phil, he has had some pretty harsh words for you. How do you respond to that?
Ares: The Phil talked up a great game. Called me old, told me that I don't have an A game anymore, all the same stuff I get from everyone that wrestles me. Frankly, he can think what ever he wants. I am concentrating on our match this week at Southern Dynamite and nothing else. The Phil is the champ. That makes him top dog. That means alot if I can take him down.
MG: What about his claim that he will attack your attacker if he tries to interfere in a quality match?
Ares: Mel, I think its bull. I respect what Phil has accomplished in RCW. I think he is a hell of a wrestler. But, I also don't think anyone can trust him for even one second. If Phil sees an opportunity to come away with the win I think he'll take it.
MG: What about this masked attacker that is stalking you?
Ares: He is a very lucky individual.
MG: What makes you say that?
Ares: I haven't gotten my hands on him yet. But that will change and when it does he is going to be in for a world of hurt.
MG: Do you have any thoughts on who it might be?
Ares: Right now my only concern is The Phil and our match at Southern Dynamite.
MG: OK Ares last question. When we last saw you here in RCW you had brought your young protege into the business, so where is James Black?
Ares: James is retired and working at my wrestling school again.
MG: But he had just....
Ares: Thats as simple as it gets Melvin. He is retired.
MG: OK then. Well Ares I believe we are out of time. Thank you for joining us here on The Hotline and remember fans tune in to Southern Dynamite this week for star studded show highlighted by our main event, Southern Heritage Champion "The Legendary" Phil against "The Franchise" Ares! Good night folks!
