The scene opens to show the Pure Original sitting in his dressing room at the Fayetteville Boys and Girls club. A mixture of sweat and Blood running down his body; He looks completely exhausted following his gruelling match with the Reigning and Defending Natural Champion the Burning Hammer Doug Gavelon. The Pure Original reaches into his suitcase and pulls out a white towel. He begins to clean himself off as his lovely wife Denise Pelf-Sinclair enters the room. Chris notices her and gives her a slight smile then continues to wipe the sweat and blood off.
DPS: You’re fairly quiet tonight Dear, something bothering you?
CS: Not really, just tired. That was a hell of a match tonight and I just want to go home and prepare for my next match. Did you manage to find out who I am fighting?
DPS: You’re in the Three the Hard Way match, also featuring Brock Davids and Davey Boone. Next week you and Brock lock up.
CS: What's the prize at the end of the tunnel?
DPS: You get a shot at Doug Gavelon at the next Hog Heaven.
CS: Could be worth while. Tonight Doug beat me by this much, (holding his thumb and fore finger only a few millimetres apart). Next time we meet Doug won't be so lucky. I know I took him to the limit in our match, if I had been a split second quicker you and I would be celebrating my latest championship win. But Doug was just that much quicker then me. I'm not making any excuses about my loss tonight, truly the better man won, but next time I'll be the winner while Doug sits in his locker room and ponders round three. Now if you don't mind Denise I am going to go grab a quick shower then go get this cut checked out.
Chris walks over and gives Denise a kiss before heading to the showers as the scene fades out.
The scene fades in to find the Pure Original bandages up and walking around his house in Guelph Ontario. He sees the camera and invites it to follow as he heads into the kitchen. Once in the Kitchen the Pure Original opens the fridge and pulls out a few peppers, one red and two green. He then pulls out a package of freshly sliced mushrooms and a large block of cheese. He then pulls out two different kinds of ground meat before turning and addressing the camera.
CS: Greetings to all my loyal fans and detractors. Today as I talk about my upcoming opponent in the Three the Hard Way Round Robin Tournament I thought I would introduce you all to one of my true passions, Cooking. Way back when I was just a young lad, even before I left home and moved to Mexico to train to become a wrestling my original passion was the culinary arts. In high school I had a great mentor, who is to this day my biggest fan, a man by the name of Peter Derriah; or Chef as we all called him.
The Pure Original then reaches under his stove and pulls out a couple of frying pans and mid-sized pot. Chris then reaches into the cupboards behind him and pulls out a couple of bottles of spaghetti sauce and empties them into the pot. He then reaches into another cupboard and pulls out several assorted spices before once again talking to the camera.
CS: Later this week at the twentieth edition of Southern Dynamite I'll be facing the man that the Burning Hammer Doug Gavelon beat to become the RCW Natural Champion Brock Davids. A man who calls himself "The Beast". Well Brock over my almost seventeen years in this business I have come across my fair share of men claiming to be Beasts, to say the least not a single one of them ever lived up to the hype, and you my friend are no closer to that claim then any of them. You see to be a true "Beast" in this business you need to be something more then a roided up jock, and sorry to tell you this Brocky that is all you are.
Chris then reaches into a draw and pulls out a cutting board and large chef's knife. He then begins dicing the red pepper.
CS: Sure you have had some success here in the RCW, but you did it while the true professionals like Brett and I were away. Now that Brett and I are back you will find out just how pathetic you are. Take this red pepper for example, buy itself it has a wondrous taste, especially raw. But once you start incorporating with other ingredients it falls by the wayside and basically only adds texture to the overall taste of the dish. That is all you are Brock, texture. You don't really add anything to the dish that we serve in the RCW and if you weren't there no one would really miss you.
Chris finishes dicing the red pepper and scrapes it into one of the frying pans. He then begins dicing up the two green peppers.
CS: Later this week when you and I meet in the middle of the ring at the Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club, I am going to expose all of your weaknesses to the crowd in attendance; as well as those watching live on FOX 16, and CW21. In my opinion the only reason you won and held the Natural Championship as long as you did was because at the time there was no real talent here in the RCW, that is why when you met the Burning Hammer Doug Gavelon he beat you 1, 2, 3 to become the new Champion. Since that loss you have done nothing of any significance and that isn't going to change this week. Once I beat you, and I will, I am going to begin my preparations for the other man involved in the Three the Hard Way Round Robin Davey Boone, the man who claims to be a Saviour. When the time is right I'll discuss my views on his gimmick, but for now I don't want to get ahead of myself.
Chris then finishes with the green peppers and add them to the frying pan with the red pepper. He then adds the mushrooms and begins sprinkling the diced vegetables with his wide selection of spices, before adding a touch of olive oil to the pan and turning it on. He then opens the two packs of ground meat and tosses them into the other frying pans. He also sprinkles that pan with spices and begins to cook both pans at the same time.
CS: Now getting back to my culinary mentor Chef. When I was just a wee lad he gave me the biggest piece of advice that I have always followed to this day. That being this; "A recipe isn't always written in stone." How that translates over to a wrestling match is simple. Each and every time we step into the ring the fans expect to see the same thing over and over and over, but we have to change things up just enough to keep them interested. The same applies to cooking, the spaghetti dish I am preparing tonight is a favourite dish of my families. Yet each time I make it is always different. I never keep track of everything I put into it, yet it always comes out a success. You see every time I step into the ring I do the moves that both my opponent and fans expect me to use, but I always try to add something a little different. Take this week for example, I have been working on something special to use against you Brock. That is the only hint I am going to give you concerning out match this week. Expect the expected, but keep an eye out for the unexpected. Until we meet in the ring Brock I say adieu.
Chris then turns his full attention to the meal he is preparing for his family as the scene fades to black.
