Received this email from Nick and he wanted me to share it with you guys. He'll be gone for a little while, so I'm going to need your help keeping this place running smooth.

Hey dood,

Greetings from a hotel room in Hartford, where I'm writing this note. Sad to say, but my grandfather passed away this morning. He had developed a blockage in his small intestine that wasn't going away by itself. They tried a surgery to remove it, but he was too weak, and had another heart attack during this procedure. From what I understand he was on medication and did not pass in pain.

So I'm here for a little while. The place where he lived needs cleaned out, and he was the original pack rat, so there's plenty to be done. Also there's bound to be some kind of big to-do, as he was a pretty wealthy guy, and apparently people are interested in the estate.

So while everything's going on, I'm gonna be away for a little while. Not only due to the practical stuff, but the passing of the guy, and given the circumstances of how he lived and how my family was while he was around, I need to do some serious soul searching. I have to be honest when I say right now RCW is one of the last things on my mind.

Hopefully you can give the guys the heads up. You can feel free to tell them the details if you'd like, they're all good folks and I don't want them to think I abandoned them, or you, and that I should be back sometime, though I'm not entirely sure when.

I'll try to hop on MSN or something sometime this week. Until then, e-mail's probably the best way to get a hold of me.

Nick I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It's always tough when a loved one goes. Keep your chin up and get through this tough time to the best of your abilities. I wish you and your family all the best.

I really hope Nick can find that soul he's searching for. Losing a relative, any relative, is never easy. I'm sure no one will fault him for taking extended time off to handle this tragic matter. Godspeed, Nick.

It's not easy losing a loved one, and if there's any sort of "tensions dealing w/the will" that never is pleasant. My thoughts and prayers are w/ya Nick, and do what you got to do... we're here for ya if ya need some friends.

Sorry for you loss, Nick- I understand completely how you feel about the soul searching after a loved one is gone. Went through something similair a couple years ago with my grandmother. You'll find what you need to, so take all the time you need to take care of you.

Yeah, I lost my dad and my brother a little over a year ago. They both died a little over two months apart. Most of the old WPWers will remember. They gave me alot of encouraging words, just like here.

Take the time you need, and we all hope for the best for you and your family.
