The scene opens to show the Canadian Horsemen all gathered around a small dressing room in the back of the Boys and Girls club. From the sounds coming from both the crowd and the sounds of action taking place in the ring we can safely assume that Southern Dynamite #22 is still going in full force. Brett is helping Heavenly get dressed for his upcoming match with the man known simply as H. Chris is shown shaking hands with Rocky, while Denise grabs a towel and begins wiping sweat off her forehead. Chris pulls Rocky over to Brett and begins to talk.
CS: Well Brett didn't I tell you that I had a surprise in store for tonight?
BJ: Yeah, but why Rocky of all people? You know he and I have yet to settle our issues.
RM: That's true Chris. Mind you I had assurances from you that Brett was okay with my becoming a Horseman again.
Chris begins looking between the two men and after several minutes he begins to speak.
CS: Look you two, why we all can't get along is beyond me. The three of us are all about to enter high spots of our careers.
Chris turns his attention to Brett.
CS: Tonight you take on that hack H. Once that match is over you will hopefully start putting whatever inner demons that have been bothering you in the past.
Brett shakes his head before speaking.
BJ: That is only if I beat him. If I don't then I don't know what I am going to do.
Chris puts his arm around Brett' shoulder before speaking again.
CS: Look man win, lose, or draw tonight you will always have a place in the Canadian Horsemen. Sure you may feel like you are hitting rock bottom in your career right now, but hell man we have all gone through it before. Take a look at my whole feud with Tiny and Troy several years ago. Those matches put me through hell both personally and professionally. Man before coming here you had basically all but hung up the boots for good.
Heavenly walks over and puts her arms around Brett's waist and leans in close before speaking.
H: You know Chris is right. When you were first debating on returning to wrestling you really were not sure about whether or not you could do this anymore. Those kinds of thoughts sometime take ages to overcome.
CS: You know Heavenly is right Brett. It took me ages to come back after I broke my neck. Sure I won a title a few weeks later, if you consider the SFW Championship a real belt. Hell you know exactly what that so called fed was like. All the SFW was is a glorified backyard fed. That is one mistake we both made that nearly cost us both of our careers.
Brett looks from his wife to Chris and back again before speaking.
BJ: Your right about that one, but maybe that is all I am now; a glorified backyard wrestler.
CS: Come on man you know in your heart that you’re a thousand times better then that. Right now you've hit some sort of emotional glass ceiling. Once you have broken through that you will back and better then ever. You know as well as I do that you and have so much more we can still teach the new generation of wrestlers coming in.
BJ: Maybe that is all I am now, a teacher. Hell my current trainer is a man who is a few years younger then me.
CS: True, but Eddie has a massive amount of knowledge about this business. Hell unlike most of the wrestlers in this business today at least Eddie trained for almost his entire life to make to where he is today. Look man you were the one who inspired me to first leave Mexico for the States. Do you remember what you said to me all those years ago?
Brett looks at Chris and shakes his head.
BJ: Not really.
CS: You told me that the business was just waiting for a smaller man like me to make his mark in this business. For several years I was miserable as promoter after promoter wanted me to come to the ring in my mask and act like a Mexican gangster. When I was at my absolute lowest point, you were the one who came to me and said that I should continue, and that things would begin to change in the near future. Well you want to know something Brett without that pep talk I wouldn't be standing here with you today. For that I am forever in your debt.
BJ: Do you really mean that?
Chris looks at Brett and nods.
CS: You know it. Also if it wasn't for that pep talk I never would have met Denise; and you all know how that turned out. Now why don't you go out there and show H what it means to mess with the Canadian Horsemen.
BJ: Sounds like a plan.
Brett and Chris shake hands and the Crimson Dragon and his wife Heavenly leave the room to go over their final preparations for the man known only as H. After the couple leave the room Rocky walks over; stand behind Chris and begins to talk.
RM: So do you think he'll fully accept me as a Horseman?
Chris turns around and replies to Rocky.
CS: To be honest I really hope he does, the last thing I want is dissention amongst the ranks of the Canadian Horsemen. If Brett thinks back to the whole incident he'll quickly realise that he was a complete jerk when things went down. If he had told you that he had arranged for you to work in Japan a whole lot of problems would have been avoided.
RM: I hope your right with that train of thought. Anyway I should go grab a shower before we leave.
CS: Sounds good to me.
Rocky then walks off and Denise comes over and puts her arms around her husband. She kisses him on the back of the neck before Chris has a chance to turn around and give her a kiss back.
DPS: So how was my match tonight, please be honest.
CS: Your part in the match was great. That delayed Vertical Suplex was a work of art. Sometimes I forget how strong you are. Anyway we should get ready to head out. I want to catch the early flight back home.
DPS: Umm Honey aren't you doing guest commentary on Doug Gavelon's match?
CS: Damn your right. I better get going and prepare. When Rocky gets out of the shower I want you two to do me a favour and pass the following message onto Brett. I have a "special" surprise in store for Dougie Gavelon tonight.
With that said the scene fades out.
The scene fades back in to show The Enforcer Rocky Malibu and the Pure Original going over a few things inside of a wrestling ring. The ring is set up in a small warehouse and has numerous fitness items around it, ranging from stair masters to loose weights. On the far wall, written in black and red letters are the words: House of Pain Wrestling. Where the Legends of Tomorrow are created." Inside the ring Chris, who is wearing plain black tights, takes Rocky; who is wearing red and black track pants; over with a deep arm drag. Then quickly catches the Enforcer in an Arm Bar submission. Rocky struggles for a few minutes before finally tapping the mat in frustration. After several seconds the Pure Original releases the hold and the two men slowly get too their feet. Chris extends his hand to Rocky who shakes it and then Chris begins to talk.
CS: Do you know what you did wrong there?
RM: Not really, what was it?
CS: You panicked. If you had kept your composure you would have been able to either reach the ropes for a break or used your free arm to lift my legs off. That would have removed almost all of the pressure on your other arm. A mistake like that could not only cost you a match, but if your opponent is a true bastard he can break your arm. That is something you should always keep in the back of your mind. Some people will go out of there way to break a newbie’s arm without ever thinking twice about it.
RM: That is true. Do you need me anymore? I have a few days off and I wanted to head home to visit my Mom.
CS: Yeah go ahead, just make sure you’re in Fayetteville for Southern Dynamite.
RM: I'm not booked on the show though.
CS: Here is another free lesson for you. Just because you’re not booked doesn't always mean you won't be working a show. Remember the age old saying in this business "The Card is Subject to Change."
Rocky smiles at his friend and mentor.
RM: That is true. Have you seen Brett since Southern Dynamite? He seemed even more down after his loss to H.
CS: To be honest I haven't seen him, but I have talked to Heavenly. According to her he is contemplating retirement, but she is trying to talk him out of it. If he does decide to retire I have a contingency plan in place.
RM: What would that be?
CS: That my young friend is a surprise I am keeping for another day. Now why don't you go and get and visit with your Mom. Tell her I say hi, and I'll stop by for a visit next time I am in the area.
RM: Will do.
Rocky and Chris once again shake hands and then Rocky climbs out of the ring and heads toward the locker rooms at the House of Pain. As Rocky walks away Chris grabs a towel from one of the corners of the ring and wipes the sweat off of his face. He then rests the towel over his shoulders and turns his attention to the camera.
CS: Well folks I hope you all enjoyed the tag match that featured the Canadian Horsemen on this past Southern Dynamite. When I saw that Brett and I were booked against the jobber team of Nathan Sanders and Matt Brantley; I knew that I had to do something to save the match for the fans. Trust me when I say this; if Brett and I had wrestled that match those two jobbers would have found themselves waking up in the Fayetteville Intensive Care Unit. As it stands those two got to go home with at least a little dignity. Sure it doesn't help that the two of them were effectively beaten by a woman, but you want to know something wrestling Denise is probably the closest those two have ever come to actually touching a woman. That brings to my second appearance at last weeks Southern Dynamite.
Chris then climbs out of the ring and sits down on the apron.
CS: Last week I was asked to join the great RCW commentary team of Lester Daly and "Hollywood" Floyd Boyd. Now since I joined the RCW "Hollywood" and I have become friends, which is no big secret. During the course of the commentary I constantly referred to Alex Crowe as a failed magician who is trying to make a few bucks in this business that I love. I will admit that Alex Crowe did impress me during that match, but I am guessing it was my comments that lead to his decision to join forces with Dougie Gavelon and challenge Brett and I too a match this week. Well Mr. Magician, or whatever you call yourself; you got your wish. This coming Southern Dynamite you will team with the man I am going to beat at Hog Heaven for the RCW Natural Championship; Mister Dougie Gavelon.
Chris then takes the towel off his shoulders and wipes his forehead before tossing the towel in a nearby basket.
CS: The last time you I got in the ring Dougie I could see the fear in your eyes as our match went longer and longer. As that match progressed I know what was going through your mind. What does it take to put this man away? Well Dougie the last time you and I fought you managed to get the win, but if memory serves me right it was a mental error on my part that allowed you to get the win. Yes I freely admit that one that particular night you turned out to want the win that much more then I did. At Hog Heaven there is no force on this planet that will keep me from walking out of the arena the new RCW Natural Champion; but alas I am getting ahead of myself.
Chris then stands up from the apron and begins to walk toward the free weights that are sitting on the far side of the warehouse from the locker rooms. As Chris gets closer he grabs a pair of 40lbs dumbbells in each hand and sits on a bench. Chris sets the weights down on the floor and returns his attention back toward the camera.
CS: This coming week Dougie you are teaming with a man who you already beat. You have to know that somewhere in the back of his mind he holds a grudge against you for beating him. I know for a fact that I wouldn't trust a man I had just beaten to watch my back. So Dougie I will give you this final piece of advice before I sign off from this promo. No matter what happens in our tag match this coming week I will be doing my best to make sure that you are no less then one hundred percent when you and I lock up at Hog Heaven. Just remember keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Now if you folks don't mind I want to get a few reps in before I head to the park to enjoy a nice family picnic with my wife and son.
The camera fades out as Chris bends over to once again grab the weights.

7/29/08 Fayetteville, AR ************* [As Doug takes a break from training Tiffany at the YMCA's weightlifting facility, he walks into the locker room and finds the RCW camera crew waiting for him. He sits at the bench with the Natural title slung over his right shoulder. The crew finishes their preparations, the producer counts it down and Doug begins to speak.]DG: You know, I remember my father once saying, "Talent is a funny thing. People can criticize you for not having it when all it's doing is waiting its turn. If you have it, keeping it is even harder." [Doug quickly smirks to himself as he seems to think back to the "old days" before turning his attention back to the camera.]DG: That was certainly the case at the last show when I took on Alex Crowe. I knew that he had talent but he surprised even me with just how much talent he possesses. And now, this time around, we will again be involved in a match together. This time, we must rely on each other if we are to gain victory at Southern Dynamite. Crowe, you were impressive at the last show but like I said before: if you want a shot at this title that sits on my shoulder... [Doug points to the belt.]DG: ...then you need a victory over a major opponent. Beating Chris Sinclair, Brett Johnson, Rocky Malibu or whomever they choose to put together this week, I feel, would qualify as a major win. [Doug develops a serious look over his face.]DG: But enough of the would'ves and could'ves. It's time to talk about the here and now and about the competitors that I will be facing at Southern Dynamite. Let me just say a few words about Brett Johnson. Brett, just like this "H" guy was saying at the last show, you lack the desire needed to be a pro wrestler, man. I'm not surprised at all that you've been all quiet since your defeat to that guy last week. You went in there thinking that your size and strength would be enough to take him down, just like you thought the same when faced with me, and the result turned out the same: a loss on your record. I'm sure Sinclair can do a lot but it'd take an amazing effort to carry you through a match against the RCW Natural Champion. [Doug seems to contemplate something before continuing to speak.]DG: I'm sure there's a few of you that may think what I just said is cruel but, honestly, Brett needs to hear the truth. If you're gonna compete in a great company like RCW, you need your head screwed on straight and I don't think that's the case with him. If he wants to prove that he belongs, he needs to come out guns blazing at Southern Dynamite. Otherwise, whenever I'm faced with him, I'll solve the problem just like I did before and dump him on his head. [Doug wipes the hair from his face as he continues.]DG: Now, onto someone that I'll be very familiar with even after this week: Chris Sinclair. Chris, I just loved listening to your revised history in that promo of yours. You claimed to see fear in my eyes during the match? No, Chris, that was shock. I was shocked about how I'd heard so much hype behind you and yet all it took was a belly-to-back suplex to put you away. Chris, I don't get scared in my matches. Just like I've shown ever since winning my belt, I never back down from a challenge. Any time someone can actually step up and give me a run for my money, I'm honored to have the opportunity. You also gave the old addage of "keep your friends close and your enemies closer." I agree. [Doug nods his head in agreement for a few moments.]DG: That's why everytime you take a step into that ring, I'll be right on top of you. I did, once, believe that you and I could coexist but your attitude over the last month has proven that impossible. You're not a friend or even an ally. You are the enemy that I will defeat this week at Southern Dynamite and whose hopes of being champion I will crush at School of Hard Knocks. You can bring all the goons you want, Sinclair, but it won't matter when it's just you and me in the ring. I will show you not only why I am the RCW Natural Champion but also why I am the only wrestler that matters. Why I am the Burning Hammer. Why I am Doug Gavelon. [Doug takes the belt from his shoulder and holds it in his hand as he stands up.]DG: Now if you excuse me, I've got to whip a lovely, young lady's butt into shape...as well as a few other things to that area tonight. [Doug gives a sly smile as he raises his eyebrows and walks out the door. The camera follows him as he does so before fading out.]
